Ahh, potty training. Addie just barely started, and it's just another example to me of how different she and Emma are. Emma decided she wanted to go potty on the big girl potty, she did it! Done potty training in a week and a half!! Including during the night!! Which surprised me, I thought we'd be working towards that for a little while. But then again, Emma is no ordinary little girl. She's advanced in so many ways. She hasn't worn ANY diapers in a little over a year!
Addie on the other hand has a desire to learn, she'll sit on the potty BUT she has to have her diaper on. She's much more stubborn and strong willed. So we're going cold turkey with her. No diapers, just underwear. Yes there will be accidents, but who doesn't have accidents? Emma had an accident every time she played with other kids for about a 2 month span, and that was after she'd been potty trained for a few months. And she learned very quickly that it was uncomfortable, and that it was embarrassing for her. She hated it!
We're hoping Addie will learn quickly too. But if she doesn't, oh well. Potty training is a process, no matter how easy or difficult kids are to potty train. Wish us luck! :)
